Any fender manufacturers for the Drifter 800 that's bolt on? I took my fenders off today to remove the wheels and I really like the rear look without the fender. I's love to make it look like a bobber.

Submariner wolf....

I got the 420-1048 installed - very nice shock... how do you have your rebound settings set... they said in the paperwork not to mess with pre-load...

boy if i hit a large bump it is like being hit in the spine

Default Windshield Options?

Anyone know of a good windshield option for a 2000 drifter 800. I'd like clear over black if possible. Looks like most shields are in the 300 dollar range.

...from Yellowstone Nat Park to Firestone, CO in a day... Just returned from 9 days on the road with my 800 Drifter. The last day was a marathon run from Gardiner at the top of the Park to my home last night. The Bike has longer legs than I do at my age. Ran perfectly, twice through 11 or so miles of mud road at the South and North East Entrance. (I have learned new respect for the stock Bridgestones earned on wet and freezing pavement and the above mentioned mud) I ran it out of gas once outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming yesterday but the reserve got me into town to fill up. The Bike was solid through the worst head winds I've rode into in years affecting only it's expected gas mileage. Once I recoup for a day, I'll go clean her up and clean/adjust the chain as it's the only maintenance I see that's needed. 800 Drifters, totally 'bulletproof' Bikes. Pics to follow after I download em'

Hey guys, thought I would check here before I posted on the other threads. Awhile back I came across a guy on a different fourm who had a drifter with the hardkrome 2 into 1 sideburners. He went by the name STREAKINDRIFTER. I was wondering how he installed them on the drifter, it was something like you had to by a right side pass. footpeg, I cant remember what it was. Any info would be great. I love the look he had and once I get back from the **** hole sandbox, I have some ideas of my own i would like to do to my drifter.

Some of you may know me from other forums, but I'm new around here, so I'll introduce myself.

My name is Philip, but most people call me Pastor Dude. Thats what the kids at the church where I'm the associate pastor named me. I have a wife and two kids (teenagers) and I work for the local phone company in Indiana. I used to ride a little when I was a teenager in the '70's but I quit riding in the early '80's and didn't really think about it again until last fall. Then last fall I was cruising the web and came across a pic of a Drifter, and I was hooked. By November I had a 2001 Drifter 1500 in my garage and I've been customizing and working on it ever since. It's a great bike, and it beats the snot out of the Honda 550SS I had back in the day.

Anyways, thats me in a nutshell. But you all don't want to hear about all that, do you? You just want to see pics of the bike, right?

Well, I've done a few mods since these pics (with much more planned), but this will give you an idea.......
