    Default Gas cap Topper

Basically its a belt buckle I just cut the holders off the back and used the metal ring that comes with it to hold the key on the back. I'm not home so I had to use JB weld......a little messy but its on the back and you can't see it lol.........But for now it will work till I get home to make it a little better.

I found a Kawasaki site that listed the last 6 # of the VIN and stated that they ran from 000001 to 010000. That would indicate that they built 9999 in the model year 1999. I have heard that they only made 1999. Anyone know the for sure answer?

My understanding on this is that no records were kept by the factory on Drifter production. It was always to be a nitch bike, with limited production numbers. Many dealerships never even had one in stock, ever. A few have never even seen one and had no idea they existed. Thats how one of my local dealers was. He's owned the place for decades, but he didn't know they existed till I rolled up on mine. He was quite interested in it and has since learned quite a bit about the unique Drifter parts. I stop by once in a while and tease him that if he keeps fooling around with them, he's gonna end up owning one!

Where did you get the rear fender chrome trim at the bottom? and what size is it? I found something like it on a website and they had two sizes.

not sure if yer referring to me but thats a Kawa brand mudflap for the Drifter. you can find them on ebay or from yer local kawa dealer on line or in the store, they come in pairs, one each for the front n rear.
