when i switched, i used the hardware from my 2 up seat for my solo seat. those brackets are the same, you just have to un-bolt them from one and put them on the other. if you're switching from a solo to a 2 up, you need to have that frame support bar. i made the mistake of riding with a passenger on the back w/o that bar on once and the screw on the bottom of the seat made a huge gash in my rear fender almost the whole way through.

Default another light bar question "ground wire goes 'where'"?

What's worse is the two add on lights were don't work either but I believe this is due to a bad ground. Instructions didn't say anything about grounding but there is a grounding wire included.
Were the instructions for installing the light bar written just to make me feel like an idiot ? The supplied hardware has " 1 - Power Wire ", it is a four inch wire with round connectors on both ends. Where is it supposed to go ? I dont see anywhere it fits. I know a bunch of folks just bought light bars cuz the price just dropped a couple hundred bucks. Anybody got any advice on where the ground goes ?

Default Biketoberfest Drifters?

Biketoberfest is in Daytona Beach, FL. Its like a mini version of Daytona Bike Week. It came about because this is the last motorcycle road race of the season for the AMA / CCS and grew from there.

MommaDC,
I went with the Saddleman Desperato slant / studded. The bracket I used was the solid mount Osprey. Altogether it ran about $200.00.

Where are you located in Florida and are you going to Biketoberfest?

I have scootworks mounts for my saddlebags. They work well.

Kawasaki Saddlebag Mounting Brackets & Rails, Easy-Brackets, Hardbag Guards

Drifter brackets are at the bottom of the page.

Thank you for the lead ...
I am in the greater Tampa Bay Area and I am still trying to decide if I am going over at all during Biketoberfest. I would like to but I have other commitments that may prevent me being that far away from home. Will you be at the Drifter gathering?

Default Coming to Biketoberfest

mommaDC

In all of the years I've gone to Daytona to race in October, I never got to experiance the whole biker thing due to either being in a hotel or on the track. Finally this year with racing behind me I have decided to stop and smell the roses (or whatever thousands of motorcycle lovers smell like). I am heading up on Thrus. night, meeting up with friends and Friday going on the Drifter ride and then who know what else.

Hope you can make it. It sound like a lot of fun without having to travel 13hrs. to the next Drift-In 2009.
