Default Daytona Bike Week

I also posted this on the VROC site. Hope someone can help...

...wondering if Kawi was going to have a presence at Daytona in March?

I'm making plans now with a group of friends for a house outside town for the week. This will be my first Bike Week and wondering if anyone had attended before and could give some insight into the event? Will be going down with H-D, American Ironhorse and Bigdog ridin' buddies - and our significant others. Even will be a Boss Hoss rider with us. I'll be the only metric rider (V2K) and wouldn't mind running into one or two of 'my own' for some sh*ts and giggles. Anyone making the trip?

I'm making the jaunt from Pennsylvania. If you've been, any advice on events or hotspots would be appreciated! Anything that should be avoided? Etc...

Thanks!

The new HD "Complex" off I-95 is definitely the place to go, and probably where all the main events and gigs are going to be taking place. It was "the" place to be in October. Doubt it will be any diff in March.

Thanks for the 'head's up' s SleekStreak!

Will follow up on your suggestion.

Hope I'm not the only Kawi representative that's going to be there...

G,

I live right outside of Memphis, TNand was considering a quick trip down there. What days are you travelling down and back? Just seemed like a neat trip but I wanted to hitch along with some other bikers versus 800 miles solo.

Hey Bob -

The final travel plans are still in the works, but we'll heading down on Friday the 3rd - back on the 10th or 11th. If your interested in meeting up, I can post our travel plans when the time draws nearer. At the worst, you can meet up with us once we arrive. I run with a fun crew.

We'll be trailering since we're rolling down from PA, but not ruling out pulling the bikes off and running the last leg - maybe SC or GA down.

Thanks G, when your plans get more firm please send me a PM if possible. I'm still up in the air.

I'm 20 miles south of Daytona. The racetrack will have good venue as well as HD on I 95. Main street is were the old HD dealer is. When you get here there's a booklets available to tell you were everything major is and some of the small as well. They will have maps and directions as well. Bring lots of money because everything under the sun is here for sale for your bike (V2K's not quite so much). Conversions, paint, seats, leatherwear, chrome, chrome, and moooooore chrome. Every bike manufacture will have a display and you can test drive many of the models, (sign up in advance, here).
Oh, did I mention THERE IS A LOT TO LOOK AT.
I'm a transplant from PA and this is the biker’s dream.
I'll be in and out of town starting tonight through the end.
Too much to do.
A must is to ride the loop in Ormand Beach and up the coast to St. Augustine. There is and old fort and the fountain of youth that Ponce De Leon found.
Daytona - beach side is a trip. There will be so many bikes traffic will be at a stand still.
Orlando Museum has "The art of the Motorcycle " display for those who want to see the beginging to now bikes. (ck out on the net)
This is equivalent to telling you about 1 thing of 1 Million that there is to do.
I have ridden in the north, south, east and west and the event of bike week is the best I have seen yet.
Drive sober though. Many don't and some die every year.
Well if you pass a black 2005 V2K (see photo) with a 50+ 260lb. transplanted northerner on it it may be me. Flag me down and I'll tell you more.
