500 LTD parts

I have a 98 LTD and as everyone knows finding some after market parts is pure h*ll. But I have heard that it uses the same frame as the 800 vulcan, so my question is concerning buying hi-way bars. The ones I have found to me are just not wide enough but I have found some fattys for the 800 that would really suit my purpose.

Anyone with any input out there would be greatly appreciated.

My bro had a 500ltd and I had an 800 classic and the frame didnt look the same to me. I would have a lot of doubts about if they are.

Try here to check schematics and maybe you can distinguish if there is a difference.

thanks for the info, after closely looking at the setups it looks as if my foreward controls will make the 800 bar nearly impossible to mount.

The 500 is a smaller frame. Some stuff will work, like bars, risers and you can make some of the aftermarket pegs work, but I don't think the highway bar will.
