2002 Drifter 800: Replacing Gear Shifter?

Went ot Kawa and found out the heel shifter is $78. No big deal. How hard is this part to replace. The bike I'm looking at had the old one cut off becasue the current owner didn't like it. I'm a former auto mechanic but really have not worked on bikes. It look s pretty straight foward.

Since you know which end of the wrench is which, it won't take you more than 30 min.
