Default LED Taillight/Turn Signal

It finally warmed up enough for me to lay on the garage floor, so I started installing my Clear Alternatives Integrated LED taillight/turn signal. I got the smoke lens, and it looks sweet. I ran out of time and had to go to work before I got the new flasher installed.

Where the heck is the stock flasher?

I got the MS in September, so I never really had a chance or reason to take it apart and get familiar with it.
The Loving Wife also pointed out that she would like me to have a second set of rear turn signals on the bike, so I may be mounting a set of bullet LEDs where the passenger pegs are...
I do know that the rear of the bike looks alot better with the plate and turn signals gone. Now I just have to get or make a plate bracket.

How has the install so far? I am waiting till I take my bike out of storage before I mount my LED tail light. I am going to make my own bracket because my plate is a little larger than the normal plate size. I am just going to cut a peice of stainless steal dimond checkerd plate and bend a little tab on it to mount, Just try cutting a couple peices out of cardboard first till you get the right template. OH I am not 100% sure but I thik the flasher is next to the junction box some where. that is behind the right side cover.
best of luck!

It's pretty easy, I probably could have been done, but I hate the connectors they send with the light, so I am going to use something else. I may remove the pins from the stock connectors and use them. The only mod you have to do is drill 2 holes in the backplane for the turn signal wires to run thru. I am still unsure of how I am going to cover all the wires under the fender, cause the stock cover is too long, I may modify that, or I might put new, smaller connectors on everything and heat shrink them. But I don't want to leave them exposed.

I'm not concerned with a light on my plate, but I may get a set of the LED plate bolts to see how they work.

Thanks for the flasher answer, I am going to finish the job in the morning.

I can't find the plate bracket I want, so I may be making a trip to see the tinsmiths shop. I want a bracket that turns IN, not out, and has a radius, so the plate hugs the final drive. So the bracket tab is going to have to be longer than most...

If you are considering LED lights for a side plate, I highly recommend this piece:

For $26.96, you cant go wrong. I have one and its a nice piece.

Here's a pic of mine. The sidemount bracket is made from 1/8" thick polished aluminum diamond plate. The turn signals & tag light are stock, just moved to new locations. Total cost was about $30 including the license plate frame & chrome bolts.
