Default vulcan 1600 classic seat

i was told that a vulcan 1500 classic seat will also fit
1600 classic, does anyone know if this is true

I don't think so. The 1600 classic driver's seat has a tab on the seat pan and a single bolt in the center of the rear of the seat securing it. I beleive the 1500's use 2 bolts? 1600 classic and 1600 nomad seats are interchangable. I have heard of folks putting 1500 nomad seats on 1500 classics.

I do know the 1500 has 2 bolts as PB mentioned.

2 bolts here and the oems are soft steel too. i'm looking to upgrade my bolts to a better quality

Yep, my 1600 has one bolt.

Only Spok coud screw up a screw (bolt).

well to be honest with you, if i had my A tools instead of the kawasaki tools it wouldn't have near rounded. the 10mm open end wrench in the pouch isn't exactly Craftsman quality.

Spok, the bracket that holds the passenger seat on has the same bolts, I did the same thing and just swapped them around. Your right about those tools Kawi sends along with the bike,cant put alot of torq on them.
