Interesting... VTX looks FAT, MS looks... wierd... like the back wheel isn't really part of the bike. I think it's the fender.

Wow...thats big. I would be happy with a 240 kit....thats almost too big. I agree with Sleek, it looks like only half of a Mean Streak with something else grafted onto the butt end. I'm not saying I dont like it, but I bet its something you'd have to see in person to really appreciate.

Anyone wanna guess how much that kit costs with everything?

I'm guessing $4k.

If they trimmed down the seat a little it would be sweet. A little too big for my liking but I would ride it.

The modified seat/fender on the MS just doesn't flow with the rest of the bike. I bet that tire just flat out kills all of the great handling traits of the bike. All for the sake of 'shock-value' looks.

100% agreed. I'd love to have a fat tire kit on my MS if they come out with one where the seat and rear fender flow with each other. The Daytona pics they have of the VTX they modded flow and look good with the fat rear. I'm not sure why they chose to do the MS that way. I think it you go a custom fender that wasn't just perfectly circular and met the back of the seat it would look awesome.

I was wondering the same. They made the VTX look real nice.

I think it just looks silly.
We went for a ride yesterday, and the best part was winding her effortlessy through a beautiful twisty section beside the lake. It was a perfect riding experiance.
Couldn't do that with a massive lump of rubber stuck to the rear end.

When I installed the 200 on my MS it took a lot away from the handeling, I can only imagine what a 360 would do.

I have a 190 on my meanstreak and there is'nt much room on the shaft side to go any more than a 200.

Good guess my friend. Here is what the guy selling it posted on another forum.
"The kit is 4875.00 (swingarm offset box, hub, wheel(smoothie polished) shock ext. and all needed hardware."
With rear fender, all the bling, etc he was talking about 7300 if I remember correctly. Lord knows I have spent alot of money on my Meanie, probably more than I should. But that goes in the "no f*cking way' catagory. LOL

Subject: mean streak conversion wide tire kit

Hey Anamosity sorry about the mistake.Yes you have to change out your swing arm,It would be a modifed arm the drive shaft tube has to be notch out to fit the tire and the front raid.has to be cleared. The 240-250 tire only comes in a 18 inch rim it is 9 inches wide. The Metzeler 240/40VR-18" is $250.00, the Avon 250/40HR-18" is $215.99.I know the priceing of the tires sounds wrong but it is right. The swim arm, hub, and wheel (smoothie polished) is $2300.00 plus shipping and handling. There is a 250.00 core charge on the arm its refunded apon reciveing it back. You can also buy any custom wheel with a harley hub patern minus harley hub, that would knock of 600.00 from the $2300.00

please call (914) 497-4256 for tech info Thanks

Andy

$2300 doesn't surprise me for the hub, arm, and wheel. Have you ever priced custom chrome wheels? The rear is anywhere from $1000-$2000 at almost anywhere. Just the wheel. Throw in the hub and the swing arm and it sounds about right. Too steep for me... but not unexpected.
