I bought the bike in Sept 2005 and have just over 5000km on it now, I am having to add oil every second tank of gas, anyone else seeing high oil consumption with this engine? There is no evidence of smoking or oil leaks.

That just doesn't sound right, any newer bike stricly shouldn't use oil between oil changes with this low miles? Have compression checked.
