Default 2000 Vulcan 1500 Classic Differential Question

Sorry, I'm a newbie to both this forum and the bike.

Does the Vulcan 1500 Classic ( yr 2000, carb) have an overfill outlet on the differential?

A few days ago, I noticed oil on the ground under my rear gear case. I noticed it was coming from the wheel side of the differential (not from the drain or the screw.) I drained the case and measured 200 mLs - which is what the manual says it should have.

I took it to the shop just to be sure (having the rear wheel lock up at 75 is something I'd like to avoid) but it'll take them a few weeks to get to it. If there is an outlet for overfilling, it might have been overfilled and that'd save me the 2 weeks and the money to have it checked out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there is an outlet. If you have a breather hose on yours, take a look there and see if the hose is disconnected. Oil could be coming out of there.

Otherwise, its probably a leaking oil seal.
