Hi everyone my 2003 Nomad that I love recently developed an oil leak on the rear cylinder valve cover. The oil leak isn't real bad yet but over time it will get worse. The dealer told me that to replace the valve cover gasket they would have to pull the motor out. I wonder why they design the top end of the motor like this, the front cylinder valve cover gasket can be replaced while the motor is in the frame. Has anyone out there ever had this problem with their bike? The Nomad is one hell of a great riding and looking bike and is so smoooooooth. I hope I get some replys, and safe riding. Cyclenut

Unfortunate, but true. The front cylinder can be accessed w/o engine removal but not the rear. That is one reason why I bought the extended warranty. If that happens to my MS while under warranty, I'm getting a big bore kit as labor will basically be covered... Troop
