well i just finished installing my tornado air kit and pcIII. i put the thunder mfg map for their air kit and vance and hines straight shots. i havent got to ride it that much but it seem to back fire quite a bit more then it did with just the pipes. Im pretty new at this. is there another map you guys would recommend to start with or does anyone have a custom map? and how do i go about altering a map? how do i know if i need to richin or lean it?

Make sure your zero throttle setting is right on.... if that is a little off, it will throw off everything. You can use the buttons to go leaner or richer must faster then using the map to make testing adjustments, then tweak the map when you get home. We are posting some users custom maps here, you might want to try one of them or submit yours when you are done.

i road around a little bit today. i guess the best way to explain it is that if im under 3,000 rpms it hardly ever pops unless im shifting down and it sounds like its more within the pipe. when im over 3,000 just letting go of the throttle its more of a bang...bang...bang and is sound like its coming from the end of the pipe instead of within.

Mine backfires once in a while too but never more than one bang. It so loud that it scares the crap out of anybody on my right side.
I suspect that mine will get better with a better map. Try another map off frank's site.
