Default FI2000R question

I have a question about my settings on my Cobra FI2000R. My 06 Mean Streak with Vance and Hines Big Shots and a Cobra FI2000R
fuel processor has a stock air intake. I'm using the stock settings the FI2000 came with 2.5 - 4.5 - 0 (these were the settings on the installation instructions)

Does that sound right? I get some mild backfiring when I let off the
throttle (under load??). You know how you approach say a stoplight and let
off the throttle. I get an occasional pop. I will also get an occasional
pop when shifting through the gears on hard accelleration (between gears
when I let off the throttle to apply the clutch). Is that norm? OH and I've done the marble mod too.

I had a friend who's bike would pop and sound like a damn 30.06 but mine
isn't nearly that harsh. Am I just experiencing something that is normal but wasn't noticable due to the stock exhaust?

The popping is because of the air injector running fresh air into the header.
Do the marble mod and the popping will go away.

Having said that... The stock Cobra settings were WAY too rich for my bike and I ended up getting 30mpg. With the stock intake, you really don't need the Fi unit... you can probably turn all three pots to "0" until you upgrade the intake.

Also Diver165 make sure you tighten the pipes up again once you have done a little riding like 50miles or so.
