I feel your pain. Just a bit north of you. Riding today but think it's coming to an end. Starting to rain a bit and snow called for on Monday

We just rented storage for the bikes... Seem inevitable now.

My insurance runs out November 03. Then we plan on hibernating for the winter.

Bring on April...

OK, y'all are quite a ways north of me, but the morning rides to work here are gettin into the mid 30's with that nasty light rain that is somewhere between get you just wet enough to be miserable and make the roads slick as snot. I have chosen this year to outfit and ride all year. I have not yet got the Gerbing's heated stuff, but I have all the other gear, and even in the cold nasty rain, (allbeit a little slower) but still a great and comfortable ride! I will be riding unless I need ice-tires, first year I've rode all year, we'll see.....

Sad, but I'm only riding to work 1-2 days a week now...frost on the roads...not good for cornering! The colours in the last 2 weeks have been great, but unless there is a cloud cover, mornings at just too dangerous!
On the bright side, bring on the skis, snowshoes, pond hockey, and all the other fun stuff you can do with a blanket of snow on the ground

Well...After finally getting my Cobra exhaust on this summer, I finally decided to order my engine guard, highway pegs and windshield today...so I guess I'll install them altogether on a cold, stormy weekend...they all should be here within a month.....hmmmmmm...now...maybe every month in the winter, I'll buy another toy for da bike...December will look good for some nice bags...January...let's replace some of that plastic with chrome....shall we??

By mid-May you will be glad to ride back to Canada

I'm in an oil patch related job now.

I'd like an office with a blonde secretary please!

Yep, only way to look at it!

I was raised in the southwest (New Mexico) and although I was not into motorcycles then I still choose to not live there. Too crowded, too hot for too long, way too much crime (Alb.) and Spanish is not my first language. Here the winters are long and cold but at least we have seasons. It is easy to get away from the crowds here as there are no really big cities close by. Gangfights, drive bys, knifings, rape and murders happen sometimes, not daily. I might move back to northern New Mex. or Colo. someday but it would only be on a seasonal basis and in a very small town. But not for now

Take up skiing. Great fun and it gets you outside. If you have a need to burn fuel, try snowmobiling.

Snow mobiling would be great fun.
I'd prolly have to buy another vehicle to carry/tow it.
Then it's the machine itself. Not to mention the cost of driving to and from the area of usage.
Dont think I can afford it.

Someone mentioned skiing as well. I'm sure that would be awesome but my legs(knees) and back are simply not up to it!
Wish they were!!
