Default 900 v 800 specs

Is the front end of the 900 the same as the 800b? More importantly (for me), any idea if the front fender is the same? Does anyone have any idea of a site I can go to and search the specs of fenders?
thanks,
dave

Don't know of any sites, but I have an '01 800B and can get you some measurements if you would like.

My buddy has a 05 800b. The fenders are different. The 900 comes to a point in the back and the 800 is more rounded with a bit of a lip. They are also metal and the 900 is plastic. Sould they fit...maybe. But they are styled different. The front tire might be bigger on the 900 as well. So the fender may rub. I'd like to see the measurements. I heard that the 900 has the same front fork as the 800b. I haven't measured it though.

My buddy and I joke that the 900 is about 10% bigger in every dimension...so it seams. Of course it isn't 100% the case.

Really?! My 800 is a 98 and the front fender (that was on there) is plastic. Is this just a year thing or did a previous owner change it maybe? Anyway, mine is snapped in half and it is definately plastic/fiberglass/not metal. I just want a front fender back on.

Just check the fender bolt pattern and width between the mounting holes on the forks of both bikes that'll tel you whether or not bith fenders will both up. the tire and wheels are the same size on both classic's. I'm sure the stock fender on your 800 is plastic from the start . Check ebay there was a couple of classic front fenders on there a couple of days ago. Here's one of the reasons I'm not fond of all the plastic on the newer classic . Metal will bend or dent (both fixable) plastic cracks and is alot harder to mend ( easier to replace with new)

I'm an idiot. Just talked to my friend with the 800. The front is plastic, but the rear is metal. Sorry about that. I didn't know you were just looking for a replacement for a broken one. As I mentioned earlier, I "heard" that the 800 front fork was the same as the 900. So it would make sense that they would fit the same fender. Good luck. I'll be interested to hear what you find.
