I just know this is gonna be a dumb question but I gotta ask. I just put 1.25 diamater highway bars on now when I buy highway pegs do I want to order 1.25 diamater or do I get smaller like 1" so they clamp on tight? Told ya it's dumb but I don't want to order the wrong thing. Anyone got any suggestions for which highway pegs work and look good on the Cobra freeway bars on a Vulcan 900. I was thinking about pilot pegs with no offset or the switchblade pegs any suggestions?

i am not 100% sure, but i am thinking the diameter of the highway bars is measured in outer diameter while the pegs is measured as inner diameter. meaning it will be a tight fit. i think if you order a 1 inch it wont fit.
customer service should be able to answer that question for you from whereever you are ordering from

I am using the Kuryakin Magnum Clamps. Excellant Highway PEG Clamp.....No slippage or turning at all...Tight and firm.

1.25" Highway bars require 1.25" Pegs. Here's what I have on my 1600 Classic: Kuryakyn Longhorn dually Isopegs 7980.

Don't think of the clamps as 1.25" clamps. They are clamps made to fit 1.25" bars. It ain't rocket science The tricky stuff is when you start talking about plumbing and electrical conduit and thread sizes. I have two different threads on my scuba cylinders... 3/4 NPS, and 5/8 NMS Now go figure... but the 3/4" tank opening is nearly an inch in diameter, and the 5/8 will not accept a 5/8" diameter dowel.
