Just FYI, the gentleman referred to in the post above is just on the other side of Atanta from you in Lawrenceville.
He is the only person that I have found that makes a rack that works with the 900LT's Standard sissy bar. I mailed an order for one this morning. If you like, I can give you a review of it when it comes in.

Once I get it in and put on, I will take some pictures and post a review of it and how easy it was to install. (Hope I can say that it was really easy but we will see)

His email automatically sends a response that your email has been blocked. but he still answered mine.
I do not remember the exact length and width (and cannot find the email) but it was larger than the stock luggage rack I have on my 500. and appeared to be plenty big enough for the trunk I was planning on putting on. (Max-Pax by Willie & Max) I went with the flat top design so I could mount it sandwich style. At least that is what I think it is called when you put a sheet in the bottom of a leather trunk and bolt it thru to the luggage rack.

Wompus will also chrome it for you if you like...at least he use to.
For an extra discount, tell him you are a "cat person".

I agree if you don't have a trunk bolted on it all the time it would look better in chrome. Coarse I don't care for the look of the normal sissy bar and luggage rack -so for me mounting the wompus rack MEANS mounting a trunk for a long trip... Here's my Nomad ready for touring ![]() Here's a 1600 Classic with a solo wompus rack (I have that rack for sale ![]()

I actually got home at a decent hour last night (unusual for this time of the year) and found myself with an hour to fiddle in my shop with. So I thought I would get started on the luggage rack.
Once I got the bubble wrap off the rack and looked at it, I saw that it was very well made. The welding is excellent and without looking at the bottom, you cannot tell that it was welded. The finish on it was superb. The install was a piece of cake. An hour was more than enough time. It was just a matter of taking the 4 bolts that hold the back rest to the bike off and then sliding the luggage rack into place and replacing with the 4 bolts that Mike sends you. You would help if you had someone to help hold things but it can be done by yourself. A little trick that I figured out is to take the 2 bottom bolts out first then loosen the top bolts just a little then lay the backrest forward onto the seat before removing the top bolts. Also remember to put the reflector back on the first time. It saves you from having to do it a second time MIke did not say anything in his instructions about using any loctite but I used some blue loctite to make sure the bolts did not come out. I took some pictures but they turned out too dark to really see what it looked like. So I will take some this weekend when it is daylight outside and post them the first of next week. Mike was great to work with and I would recommend his products. I got an email back from Mike this morning and he said that if you could not get thru to him by email to "just call me on the phone". His phone number is listed on his website
