Default 12/18, and I got to ride to work!

<bad_joke>So, there IS a benefit to global warming!</bad_joke>

Got to ride in to work this morning... was about 44 degrees here in VA when I got up to ride. I should have looked at that, as I put on my under-armour shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, balakava, scarf, winter riding gloves... and was too hot.

I got to work at about 5:15AM, and am already thinking and looking forward to the ride home!!

It's funny how quickly you forget just how much fun it is to ride... I haven't ridden in probably 4 weeks? And then it was only a quick ride around the block a couple of times.

Anybody else having a prolonged indian summer?

Well, it was 67 deg. when I woke up at 5:00 this morning. Just another benefit of living in Texas, riding year round!

Last week took a jant down to a small town in Southern AZ.
temps in the mid 60's 240mile round trip, just enough to warm the oil up in the ole 900. Ran into a bunch of the Chior Boys on a run, only comment was "Nice bike but its not a Harley" Jumped on the superslab and put the peddle to the metal.

I got to ride the chopper into work this morning & checked the temp when I got here & it was 38° at 6:30am but it's already 52° here at 9:45am. My wife & I got to ride the 1600 Classic for about 70 miles yesterday (Sun.) afternoon, that was sweet, a week before Christmas & riding the bike around. Some years, we have a pile of snow by now at this time.

AH, gotta love Arizona. I have next week off so I am doing a two day ride to Southern Arizona. Our company has a house in Tucson so I will spend a night there.

Might not get to ride this week as it's going to be 81 out, too hot here, might pack the bike away until winter sets in. Boy these FLA summers just keep getting longer

It's a 60 mile round trip. But, I am first to admit I am pretty much a fair weather rider. No rain or fog or wintery cold for me. Heat doesn't bug me much, I will ride in 90+ degree weather. I am a bit of a newb as well, only been riding since July.

I decided to ride to work for the first time last Thursday. The temp was 38 when I left. I didn't know till I left that it was so extremely foggy. I wasn't about to turn around so I plowed on. My bike was soaked when I got to work and that's the part I hated most. It dried off when the sun came out, but I still didn't like it getting wet like that.

I had to go in on Saturday and it was 32 that morning. That was fun. It warmed up by lunch so the ride home was outstanding!

I rode some more today. I don't know when the weather is going to turn sour, but it sure is nice for riding right now!
