Default a word of caution for 900/wompus owners

just a word of caution. LOVE the wompus 4 bar rack i have on my 900LT. i noticed a rip in my bike cover and kinda shrugged it off. day two i heard a rip as i was installing the cover again. these luggage racks are wide and are not very "bike cover friendly" . its not that it has a sharp edge (on the end of the side bars) but that it will slice thru the cvr if you're not carefull.

used my rack this last weekend on its first real test trip and it was MARVELOUS! just be aware of that edge when you cover it. FWIW id live without a cover before i would the rack

What cover are you using ? Maybe a different one a bit bigger would not suffer the same fate...
