Default New stuff installed

I finally finished installing all of the items that I got for Christmas and my birthday. I also finished so other mods that I have been wanting to do.

My mom got me a Hyperchager Pro-R, only problem was that it is for a carbed engine, so I had to get a Thunder Mfg. adapter to in stall it. I thought about sending it back to where she bought it from, but I like the looks of the Pro-R better then the others. So From the extra money that I got for my Birthday, I ordered the adapter kit. From what I have read, this adapter makes the Hyperchager stick out a little less further then it normally would.

My wife gave me a Sirius radio so we could listen to music while we ride. I Installed the Hopnel Tri-pouch where I hid all of the wires and connections for the Sirius radio. While installing the radio I rewired the driving lights and installed an LED indicated switch on the dash plaque. Installed the Hopnel tank bib to match the Tri-Pouch.

I Finished up making new lowers and getting them put on. Bought a used goat belly on ebay, gutted that and installed it.

Now all I need it for all of this Snow to melt so I can go ride again.

and a link to a short video that showes the hyperchager in action and the new sound from the gutted exhaust.

Very nice! I liked the video, but I could tell the bike wasn't completely warmed up yet. Nice sound though.

Default Bike + Toys

Great looking bike! And I feel your pain about the snow. Same situation on this end. We just had a trace of snow last Sunday so we have salt on the roads and highways. Right now all the snow has melted, but I am hoping for a strong downpour of rain in order for all the salt to wash away. Looks like no riding this week for me.

Anyway, I hope you can enjoy riding your bike soon. Ride safe.

Thanks everyone.
I know my mom wasn't real thrilled about buying parts for the bike, but then she did ask what I wanted.

Default Great bike, but how did you.......

How did you go about gutting your stock pipes? Any MPG change or any other changes other than sound when you gutted the pipes. I have an 06 Nomad and Love it but don't want to stray to far from stock.

Thanks,

Nomad Norm.

I followed the instructions from Gadget's Fixit page. I'm an electrician by trade and had all of the hole saws, though I do not know that I used the exact same sizes as he has listed. I did the the mufflers first before doing the goat belly. They did have a nice sound, but not quite loud enough for me. When I did that I can't say that I noticed any MPG or performance difference.
The pin stripping is factory.
Here's a link to Gadget's Fixit page.

Sounds like my nomad with the gutted pipes and goats belly. I think it sounds pretty darn good for a no money involved mod did you start the bike when you had the belly off and just strait pipes? I had to do it. That sounded unbelievably good that way!! But I wouldn't want to ride like that long, it was pretty loud

Yea, had to do it also. I to really liked the sound, but too loud for any distance. I felt sorry for my dog though, he was in the garauge sleeping while I started it up and scared him a little bit.
