Well...Another mod installed'
Installed my Cobra Lightbar last nite.It really looks good. I upgraded to 55watt bulbs before I even installed it. It came with 25 watt bulbs. Man...those suckers are BRIGHT. The power source I used for the lights was from the aux lead inside the Headlight housing using a relay that is powered from the running lights. The lights come on as soon as the key is on. However they can be turned off as I also used the supplied switch. Anyway.....What about aiming them (up and down)? Pulled up to the garage wall and stood the bike up level. What should I do? Lights are now aimed higher than low beam but not quite as high as the high beams. Almost don't even need to use the bikes high beam. Seems to me that they may still be somewhat a annoying to oncomming cagers at night.I might have them aimed a little too high. Where do most of you guys aim your lightbar lights? On another note...Anybody ever crack their Lightbar lenses from running 55watt bulbs. They are kind of warm/hot when on for a while and sitting in the garage. Seems you could be riding along with the lights on and then all of a sudden....A little rain shower or something. My concern is a hot lense and then hit with cool rain water may crack em. This ever happen to anyone. Used to happen to me with cheap fog lights on my truck a while back. Pictures at a later date.

Did you put in the brighter bulb in the regular headlight, also?
Geez, you would have a spot light if you have the 85W low beam, and two 55W beside it. Don't let the animals or small children walk in front of it, they may get a tan or singed hair! I remember my first HD had problems with the bracket for the headlight and I would be half way home from work and would have to get a rag to lift it up, and not burn my fingers, so I could see to get to the house. Didn't know about lock tight back then. Never worried about cracking the lens when it rained on it, just how hot the danged rag got before I could make it to the house. Is the light bar with pedestal style lamps or are they hanging below? Bill in SJT

The cobra bar I got has the pedestal style...They look good!!!!! Blinkers go off to the sides. Did not think I would like the blinkers that way...but after the install,I now think they don't look too bad.

If you look on Gadgets site there is a write up on how to adjust your head light, most are off from the factory, using the method you can set your headlight then the others a little lower and it works great.
