Cool PC III with Free Accelerator Pump

Is there anyone with a Power Commander III USB who has experiance Accelerator Pump software utility? Its a free upgrade.

    http://www.powercommander.com/accelpump.shtml

Basically its the EFI version of Accellerator Pumps for Carbs. Back in the day this would squirt extra fuel when you opened the throttle assisting in fast accelleration. Apparently when you crack open the throttle a sudden increase in air is not compensated with enough fuel.

With this upgrade, You can vary the amount of extra fuel added,
set the throttle action that’ll trigger the “pump” function, and you
can set for how long that extra shot of fuel is added.

Some Racers have selected the following:
    75% Sensitivity
    20% Fuel Increase
    15 Engine Revolutions
    Some Street Riders have selected:
    90% Sensitivity
    15% Fuel Increase
    20 Engine Revolutions

Let me know what you think, I am getting a PCIII this summer with Cobra Speedsters and a Hypercharger. I think this could be a nice benifit especially when you need a pass a slow Semi on a 1 lane highway.

I have run my Mean Streak with and without this mod and it really does make a difference. Next time I get the Laptop near the bike I will give you the values I am running right now. Still can't believe it was free..........

Just added the Accelerator Pump feature to my PCIII. Can't wait to install the dang thing. Still too cold.

Anyway, thanks for the kick in the butt to get me motivated.

Be prepared to make frequent gas stops if you use the accelerator. I had mine turned on when I had mine tuned last year. I finally had to go back and have it turned off, when I started comuting 100 miles a day.

I have the street rider setting installed on mine. Personally I can't tell much of a diff in either performance or mpg. It is only going to pump a shot of extra fuel at a very specific rpm setting so I wouldn't imagine a steady reduction of mpg... Troop

Mine is on, but I never ran it without the pump so I can't vouch for the difference it makes.

Once you enable it you need to go back to the Maping program. You will not see a pull down menu with the "Accerlerator Pump" which allows you to adjust the settings.

I installed a set of big and nasty slip on mufflers on my 07 V2000 Lt, now I'm getting a bad back fire, no air leaks.
