Mean Streak lash?!

I have read in some articles that the Mean Streak 1500 has drive lash. Has anyone experienced this? And if so is it an issue with the bike or the rider? I am considering purchasing an '03 and the question of drive lash ruining an otherwise smooth, comfortable ride has me concerned? My other comparison bike is the Honda VTX1300C so if you have constructive input on this comparison/ride I would also greatly appreciate it.

I'm assuming you mean drive shaft back lash. If so, a certain amount of back lash is normal on any shaft driven vehicle particularly when allowed to slow down in gear on a closed throttle and then accelerated again. On a bike with many miles on it it could be more pronounced. My 02 has about 15000 miles on it with little back lash and usually can be minimized with a little judicious use of the clutch & throttle.
