THE TIRE INSTALLATION WILL BE $75.00
THE TIRE @ $112.95 (Metzler)

TOTAL WILL BE $205.01

is this too much in your opinion??? seems high to me for one tire. i could be wrong.

That's about what it cost me to have a new rear put on my Nomad. I think it's reasonable for a shaft drive bike.

My local dealer charges $85.00 an hour for labor.

$10.00 for tire disposal? wow that's expensive. it's only $3.00 for a car tire here in maryland.

Unfortunately, unless you want to do it yourself, you won't do much better than that anywhere else (and that's why some refer to them as stealerships ).

Stealerships. That's a good one.

The stealer I bought my bike from wanted 200 FOR THE STOCK TIRE plus 90 labor to put on. Plus tax. I got the Metzler (which imo is a far superior tire) out the door for 223. I thought it was a bargain.

If you bring just the rim and tire down most dealers will do it for around 20 bucks. What I did was buy the tire from the dealer the day before, pulled my rear tire off and brought it down the next day. Saved myself about a 100 bucks and I had it back on the bike the next day. If I had brought the whole bike down it would have been 2 weeks plus extra money.

My dealer only charged me $30 for a tire change. $75 seems high to me.
