I am interested in being able to store more gear on my '06 900 LT. I am pretty certain to do this I need to purchase a luggage rack and some type of luggage to hold the items I would like to store. Do certain luggage racks only hold certain types of luggage? Can someone explain to me my options in both racks and luggage?
I remember reading on a thread here that Kawasaki offers or is soon going to offer an OEM rack. Do they offer the luggage too? Has anyone installed a rack on an 06 900 LT? If so could you please post pics of your setup? Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have a pic of it installed on your bike? Also, what kind of backpack or luggage to you use with it? Also, how do you strap it to your bike?

Yes, when I was in my dealer a couple of weeks ago checking out the new accessory catalog there was a new Kawi luggage rack for the Kawi 900 sissy bar.
I have the 900 and put a Custom World mini-sissy bar and rack on mine. Just this week I received a set of T-bags luggage that I ordered from Beartooth Kawi. I got the 15% discount, but they had them shipped from the factory to them and then they shipped them to me. When I spoke to a rep at T-bags they said they would have dropped shipped the bags with no shipping charge. As it was Beartooth charged me $10 (not a big deal). I was very impressed with the testimonials on T-bags website and when I spoke to a rep about some of the features on the different models she was very helpful. The other thing is that they guarantee their product for the life of it. I ordered the Tahoe and roll bag. Don't order a separate net for the roll bag, it comes with it. The bag fits my setup just fine and it expands to fit most any size sissy bar out there. This is the bag I bought but they have lots to choose from: http://www.tbags.com/Detail.aspx?ID=5&selectedcat=4 Roger |
