Excuse me, but I don't see this as a jerky comment at all!!! In fact, it may even have been a true statement for all we know. All he did was answer the question of the thread, and, as illustrated above, you guys bashed on his brand first, and multiple times.

I tire of all the HD bashing here. It's starting to disgust me!! The thread is asking what riding a Vulcan means to you. It has nothing to do with any opinions of the HD.

I love my Vulcan, and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world (except maybe another Vulcan ) but that don't give me the right to bash on any other brand, and I don't think I'd lower myself to doing that even if I felt that way.

I can understand his reasons for his comments, and I can't say I wouldn't have said it if I were in his shoes. Now, SHUT UP about the HD's already!!!!

Ford, Chevy, Dodge...

Lets keep the topic on track and leave the "Brand" bashing out of this thread.

We all ride what we ride because we made a choice to do so. If you don't like other "Brands" that's fine...but making personal attacks on others because they don't ride what you ride is not welcome here!

I don't feel as dissconnected as when I drive my car. Nothing can make the stress of a hard work day for me go away than leaning into a sharp turn and accelerating through it. I think that's my favorite part about riding.

As for Vulcan specific... the older I get the lazier I get. I don't want to do a lot of maintenance on a bike... I love the fact that my 1600 has alloy rims, FI, Water Cooled and shaft drive... Less time messing with stuff, more time riding.

My wife has told me that she wants me to get a Harley because "they look cool" and there is a certain sitgma about them (forgive her, she doesn't understand... took me a while to learn!). And I have to say that I looked and test drove a couple... but I just liked my Vulcan better.

In a car you're watching a movie, on a bike you're IN the movie. Simple as that.
Sometimes the movie is:
Sometimes the movie is:
Sometimes the movie is:
Sometimes the movie is:
Sometimes the movie is:

But it's never boring. OK sometimes after three hours on the slab it gets boring, but that's usually followed by one of these:

How true. I smelled freshly cut grass and around the next bend was a landscaping crew working in somebody's yard.

Yeah, I don't get it either....I just figure it is some guys that are so hung up on their own personal choices that they can't handle anyone else who made different ones.

And whoever called the Sportster a girl's bike obviously has never ridden one. I'd put it up against a Meanie any day of the week and you've got 400ccs on me.

Alot of HD guys I know call the 883 sporty a 'girls bike', but not a 1200C. That is no girl bike.

I was going to buy one myself, but it was too expensive. It was a black 07 that was drop dead gorgeous. I bought the 900 because I could afford it. I love my 9, but I sure as heck wouldn't turn my nose up at an americon icon.

I would just like to officially apologize to you kyclassic. I didn’t read the post above and I overreacted anyway.

You’re obviously a true enthusiast as I consider myself to be

Ride on brother! And Harleys are totally cool – everyone knows that.

They're roughly the same price as a Mean Streak. And if I didn't have the Sporty, the MS would probably be the bike I would buy.

No apology necessary. I don't think HD is the only way to go. It is just my personal opinion that they are the best way to go. But I'm cool with anyone who disagrees with me. I just get tired of the BS posts like, "HDs drip oil all over the place" "HDs break down all the time" etc... It's simply not true. I had more problems with my Vulcan than I ever had with a HD and I've owned three of them.

BTW, my son rides a Suzuki and I ride it sometimes myself. It's a nice bike (for a Suzuki

FYI, = JK

The 1200 is a pretty damn fast bike, I considered the roadster because I came from the mx world, but after riding my VStar, I fell in love with the short fat cruiser look and ride, so I had to get me a Nomad! One day I'm sure, or I hope, i'll have both

I'd put my KLX400R up against any bike out there! I can pull it up in all 5 gears wide open, not really a fair comparison though. My wifey is trying to get me to sell it because every time I ride it I seem to get a little crazy I'd love to convert it to a SM and ride it on the street, but all my blingage budget is going towards my Nomad.
