Default Hey 900 Folks...Luggage Rack

Hey 900 owners...Was looking thru the Kawasaki Web site and Finally.

Looks like they Finally have our Luggage Racks listed available to order.
Also seems to be they have the Windshield Lowers now available too.

Have been checking the site from time to time and now they finally have them listed in accessaries..Just recently I guess.

I have been wanting the Luggage rack that fits the Stock Sissy bar for some time now....But nobody has had them (only the Cobra rack but only to fit Cobra sissy bar).

Will be calling Dealer to order tomorrow....Oh crap tomorrow is Monday...They are closed....Tuesday then.

Good...Good...Good...He...He...He....

Yes, in fact we just picked up Debi's lowers for her 900 LT. They connect to the windshield bolts instead of around the fork tubes. Not cheap though.

Also the luggage Rack we saw, but it was $200. They sure charge a high price for the Kawi products. But things are starting to come out for the 900's.

I installed the Kawasaki Luggage Rack a few weeks ago. It looks pretty good in my opinion. I paid 172.00 including 6% sales tax.

Will the Lowers still work If I have a Cobra Lightbar? Does Debi have a lightbar.
Also...Do the lowers hit the Engine Guard like the Memphis Shades lowers do?

I guess it's been at least a few weeks since I last checked the Kawi Web site.
How lond did it take to get your Luggage Rack? Did they have you on back order or was it readily available?

Refugio,

The dealer had to order it but it was in stock at Kawa. It took about three days from the time he ordered it until I got it.

That's sounds like a pretty good price since it retails for 200 on Kawi's site and you ordered it from the dealer. Still pretty expensive though. I just ordered some freeway bars (Cobra) last week, so I'll probably have to wait on the luggage rack, but It is one of the items on my gotta have it list.

Rsmith,

I took the best price I could find doing a google search and then went to my dealer with the number and he matched it.

Rsmith-This is my first bike so I'm new to it as well. I got it last September after taking the MSF course. There's a lot of good info on this site as I'm sure you've seen.

Oh I believe him alright. I've been lurking in the shadows of this forum for over a year now, and have researched everything there is on the 900 including all the posts and pics. That's why I bought my 900 classic LT last week. Well that and a few comparison test rides.

I just didn't expect to get caught up in the bling buying this quickly. I guess I'm just weak

Ahh....Yea .....Kawasaki does....From the picture at www.kawasaki.com they look like they are chrome with clear plastic but not sure.

I just ordered a Luggage Rack and some Lowers from www.cycle-parts.com They were less expensive than what I could get them from the Dealer...and OEM too.
