I believe the main reason they stoped putting them on was to cut costs.
They sure were great while they lasted. Don`t know whats available out there aftermarket.

Like many of you a center stand would be nice on the V2K, but I don't think I have enough lead in my backside to make one work with that bike.

It'd have to be like the wings, stand alongside it, both feet on the stand and jerk your back out getting that 950lb beast up. Would I like one for my 600lb 900....yeah, but it doesn't look like the venerable CS will be around anymore as more and more bikes go away from it.
    That sounds dumb.

This looks great. Any idea if you could get it to work with other models?

I thought the 'Wing's were electric
I know the older ones weren't... one of the local PGR riders (Pegleg) has a GW trike... he just puts the stand down and puts the trike in reverse. If he's on the seat, it keeps the rear tires planted so the stand will lock. When he gets off, the front tire drops and both rear tires rise.

Of course, with two car tires on the back, it's gonna be a LOT of miles before one needs changing unless he gets a flat.

I know they're gone off of sport bikes because of ground clearance. Without the centerstand, you can drop the engine an inch or so and getting better weight distribution.

i ended up with a cool stand on the glide. i get a lotta looks when i pull up some where, throw my left leg vback on the stand and effortlessly lift the bike (900 apprx lbs) back on the stand. also drive off of it also. neat
