hey everyone. Im back starting another topic(total newbie i know lol) but after reading alot and looking through some old posts i think i might be purchasing an ebony mean streak tomarrow. I was first going to go with the 900 custom but after thinking long about it, i like the overall look of the mean streak better and also wanted more power.
I actually just got in the door from the dealership and he said he can give me the bike out the door for right around 11 g's(sound reasonable??) also if anyone has the ebony mean streak would you mind posting a couple of pictures, since im still trying to compare the ebony and the special eddition with the red and black, thanks everyone! |

$11,000 out the door is the dealer getting msrp but eating tax, title and license. Not the greatest deal in the world but you can do much worse.

Welcome to the forum krelly. And, as suggested, I'd see if they might come down a little more, although that definitely isn't a bad deal IMO.

Depends on what the tax is in your state but I got my SE for 10.6 or 10.7 out the door so I'd say haggle a LOT but thats just me. I believe a dealer should be worked and playing dealerships against each other is key. Call around for an 06 too and you'd save an extra 600-1000 if you find one. Mechanically they're exactly the same.

Welcome Krelly!!
Work on em a little. If they won't back off a little, maybe they'll throw in a little bling, pipes maybe?!! Or maybe some leathers! However, if ya like the bike, you'll regret not getting what you want over a few hundred bucks, & the streak is a danm fine bike!! Keep us posted & pics!!

Absolutely! It's amazing what you can get a left over brand new '06 for. They want to get them off the floor, go for it!!

Its basically a dealer rebate to get the 06's cleared out by Kawasaki. They get 600 or 1000 bucks back, can't remember which, to sell an 06. Some dealers are pricks and try to split it and only give you half the savings. Nice dealers will let you save the whole amount.

I've got a blue one, but I was sure a tough decision over the black one... it came down to the dealer that gave me the best price had the blue one. Trust me, you will LOVE it! Perma Grin for a few months for sure!
