Check with EZ over on VROC. He put some white ones on the 800 bobber he built. Don't know where he got them.

I have been looking at those kind of grips too. I think you could get almost any kind of 1" rubber grips to fit, they are all over the Internet if you do a quick search. But I also want white rubber on the forward controls, and that is a bit more tricky. Transparent red, green or gold flake a'la Frisco style would be slick to
I have a few other projects to complete first, but white rubber has been on the list for some time now. Much cooler than all those standard Küryakyn ISO Grips you see on every bike nowadays.

I think Thullan the problem using just any generic 1" grips, is ensuring the right grip will slip over the throttle housing. I'm sure all the generic grips have a slight bigger right grip to the left, but I'd like to get it right first time.
Mind you as long as they are to suit ISO grips you should be fine right? Last edited by CustomVN : 04-24-2007 at 01:57 AM. |

CustomVN you got a point, I thought it was much easier to get suitable parts than it probably is (as always with metrics). Could it be that you have to change to a generic/Harley throttle grip?

Well that picture I put at the top of the thread was taken from a place that sells parts for new Triumphs, which are metrics and use ISO grips so they should work I guess.
I might post into the Bonneville America forums and see if I can find out a little more, as they sell the white grips for only $19.95US for the pair. |

This place has quite a selection of grips, if you scroll down the page, there are some that come in various solid colors. They look a little more like dirt bike grips, not sure.
