2 can play the sarcasm game. But I was serious in my initial post. I don't see anything funny about the subject.

We police ourselves here Turtle, it' everyone's responsibility to censor themselves, and try not to cause undue offence to another person, it's just part of being a grown up, and an empathetic sentient human being.

Now no sarcasm intended, but you really are an aggressive little person aren't you? Very brave indeed!

Well mate, I guess that by you being one of those grown up, empathetic (emphasis on pathetic) sentient human beings, then you will not take undue offense at this: no sarcasm intended.

I drive a 900 classic as well, or I would get nasty.

Hey Turtle, what's with the chip on your shoulder?

Can't we just get along...now please?

No chip Tod. Started what I thought was a serious thread only to have it joked about right off the bat. Then getting dressed down for defending my opinion. Spent 25 years defending our rights. So I get a little irritated at jerks.

Fair enough.

Let's chalk it up to bad timing of some sarcasm that we could have done without.

Cool!! Got various responses and opinions just as I Hoped. Bikes and bars are not as serious a problem as was percieved.

You don't quite get it do you Turtle, the fact that you started a thread on a public forum, does not give you ownership of that thread, starting a thread calls for comment, and not all comment is going to be:
A: Positive
B: Serious
C: Agreeable to you
In light of these salient facts, the very notion of getting yourself all upset and raising your blood pressure, because someone has posted in a lighter hearted vein than you feel your subject deserves, is a little ridiculous.
The questioning of someone elses intelligence is hurtful and offensive.
And the threatening tone of the quoted post, when you have really no ability to do me harm by remote control, from thousands of miles away, shows a lack of commitment to reality.
By the way what does the fact that you ride a 900 classic have to do with you not getting nasty? I don't understand your reasoning with that one. Is there some sort of assumed commerarderie, between 900 Classic riders that has saved me from from the harm that you would have inflicted?
You are a carbuncle on the posterior of humanity you small minded little pr1ck, go peddle your bullsh1t somewhere else!
With kindest regards,
Christo

OK Ok, I don't agree 100% with the guy either but no one here has the right to start with the offensive name crap. He started a thread for some insight and got it. Thats what the whole idea behind starting a thread is. I'm sure i'm not the only one here thinking you need to back off on the guy Christo.

I agree with him up to the point where he talked about the 900. I could see some joking in the 900 post that perhaps Chris didn't see.

I think the last line is out of line, and really wasn't needed.

I'll kiss and make up when the dude realises, life is not as serious as he likes to think it is! When he can be man enough to acknowledge the error of his ways, then I'll think about picking him up, dusting him off, and shaking his hand.
He's been posting here for about a month, obviously knows nothing of the other people on this forum, calls one of them an idiot, can't take a joke, and when he's pulled up for his obnoxious behaviour starts getting abusive and threatening!

And you want me to back off on the guy?

It must be a cultural thing with us Australians, but we're quick to defend ourselves, even quicker to jump to the defense of others, we call it as we see it, and we never take a backward step from a protagonist.

Like it or lump it that's me, I can be a good friend, but I won't eat sh1t and call it ice-cream!

OK, OK, so it's chocolate!!! Sorry, but you still got to eat it.

Oh, and I'll like it. Thank you.
