Default 900 removable windshields

I just moved up from a V-star 650 this past weekend and I am very happy with my 900. I haven't had the new bike long enough to make any changes yet, but I am itching to personalize it soon.

On to the question....Do the quick release brackets for the removable windshields look okay when the shield is off. I want the protection on the highway, but I like the no shield look when I'm riding around town.

Any suggestions??

Thanks.

I'll get some pics of mine with the shield off. I like it fine. I had too really polish the brackets. Aluminum I guess. I have the MS Pop Top. My only compliant is the I get some pretty good helmet vibration at highway speed. That may vary by rider and helmet, not sure though. I've ordered some lowers but will have to cut the plastic down to match the sport shield, I'm not sure how that will work out. I'm going to experiment with Plexiglas first before I cut the MS lowers.

The Memphis Fats hardware is quick release and while it is noticable it is not obtrusive IMO, I to like taking the windshield off to put around town plus it is easier to clean the headlight/triple tree area without the shield there.

Pics of the mounts only as promised. They shine better in person. I have to use metal polish on them about once a month...

Thanks for the pics and the feedback. I think the benefits of having the shield far out weigh the brackets.

I have the Memphis Shades (17") Switchblade and it's a 5 second process to either take the windshield off or put it back on. The brackets are pretty unobtrusive.
