....Ohio Bike Week is the North Coast's closest thing to it. The 10 day event draws about 60,000 bikes with a downtown block party, fairgrounds battle of the bands, rides to local wineries, and the Lake Erie Islands. We rode in Saturday morning. (about an 1-1/2 hr ride) The lack of bikes was do to the scheduled parade. They kept the downtown area open for the afternoon event. We only had a couple of hours to burn and were out of there before the festivities started. Will plan for a longer stay next year.
I was in the area last week for work, and it was great to see all of the bikes as they were making there way into town. unfortunatley I did not know that I was going to be in the area and did not have the meanie with me, but next year, I am going to schedule to be in the area with the meanie in tow.
Glad to see that you had a great time, it sure was a nice week for the ride.
From what we saw them setting up, burn out pit, mechanical bull, stage for the bands, and Budwieser trucks, frolic would be an understatement. We passed hundreds of bikes headed in, on our way out. Really did wish that we could have stayed longer! I didn't even know about this event untill I ran across a small story in the local paper. Next year!!!

If you plan on attending, search Ohio Bike Week on the web. The site kinda stinks, but, there really is a lot to do. I found out about it reading the local paper. Not much promo.
The weather was outstanding. Cool while riding and in the shade, hot in the sun.
