I don't know about you, but I've always hated it that I have to remove my gloves to thread my chin strap on or to undo it. I found this chin strap buckle for less than $8 and it works GREAT!
Just clip it to secure the strap and then depress the 2 tabs to release the strap. VERY secure with metal to metal contact. Now, I can gear up and with my gloves on, I can quickly secure my chin strap. Online store: Echo Quick Release Helmet Buckle - Echo ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I don't have that exact one, but I have quick releases on all of my helmets. They really make life alot easier.

Yep, they are great til ya get your fatty neck skin caught in one. That'll put a blood blister on ya in a heartbeat. I know from experience, and the 2 times I did it, the buckle didn't want to release right away, and I had to fumble with it for a few seconds. Trust me, it felt like minutes instead of seconds. I laugh to myself now, but it was'nt a bit funny then. So be careful out there.

I have them on all of my helmets. Just pull them away from your neck when you clip them... and you won't catch any 'unruly' skin in the clasp. They're great... safe... and easy to use. Also... the ability to clip the end into the slot provided keeps it from flapping 'in the wind'. Enjoy and Ride Safe

Kawa dealer here sells them for $6.95 and because I bought my bike from him he knocks off another 10%! Sweet. I have 2 already, going to get another one soon.

It's the only one worth having. There are some cheapie all plastic ones out there that I wouldn't trust for a second.

OR, you can buy a Nolan helmet which comes with quick release buckles, but at a slightly higher retail cost than $6.95...
