Default Hotbox on a '03 1600 Classic

Has anyone put a Hotbox on an '03 1600 Classic?
SCOOTWORKS - Chin Spoilers, Hot Box, and Fairings from Scootworks
(You'll have to scroll down to see the Hotbox)

Mine just came and it doesn't fit! The exhaust system bracket is in the way.

I just reviewed the listing from Scootworks and the 1600 Classic is not listed at the top, but is listed in the product listing. Looks like I need to call them on Monday.

There's a couple of posts from guys with Meanie's that have them, but no posts from 1600 Classic owners. This is a nice product - lot's of storage space and I'm excited about filling that "gap" between the engine and the rear wheel when viewed from the left side.

Thanks - Freedom

Well I answered my own question - or should I say Scootworks answered my question - the Hotbox will not fit if you have the stock exhaust system. Shoot. It says that right on the web site - but it says, "Fills the gap between the engine and the rear tire when the stock exhaust is removed" or something close to that. I took that to mean that "goat belly" thing that seems to be on the CA bikes. Well mine doesn't have that being in WI. But the bracket for the exhaust system is in the way of mounting it ...

The folks at Scootworks were great - they will take it back. I just need to read more carefully before ordering!

Having had this in hand - it's a nice product!! Lot's of storage space and it fills that "gap" nicely and gives a "larger" feel to the bike when viewed from the left side.

1600 Classics has never had the goatbelly, due to the fact that the "catalytic converter" or "honecomb" is in the front part of the stock system.

Expensive toolbox for sure.......but I'm sure it is nice.
