Weird, not sure why I'm subscribed to this thread... but since I got the email and have V&H Big Shots, I'll chime in for you there drlshan.
No one can tell you whether they will be too loud. I love mine. Others will/do think they are too loud. You could always try the baffles and possibly re-sell them if you prefer the exhaust without them.... (if that's possible? Not sure what's involved in installing baffles....) I get a lot of positive comments about mine though. They sound great, not just loud for loud's sake. |

Ever since I was a kid in school I always wanted to own a bike and feel the freedom of riding those twisting roads through the Canadian Rockie Mountains.
For the longest time I had my eye on the Honda Aero, but after they did away with it and came out with the VTX series, it just didn't appeal to me as much, so after about 3-4 years of visiting the local bike show every year only to leave dissappointed without a new bike to dream about. When they unveiled the '07 MS SE at the December '06 bike show my initial thoughts were "Holy $hit that is one sexy bike!!!" after seeing the Canadian price of $17000.00 only to get 5-6 months of decent riding weather my new dream bike would only be that ... "A Dream". Well the time has come to make that dream a reality, when the new '08 MS SE hit the show room floor I caught the bug again and start searching around for an '07, coming up empty in my home city I made a couple of calls and found one at a dealership about 4-1/2 hrs from me, when I heard that it was still in the crate I immiediately put a deposit on it, I will be driving up to the dealership next Friday with a certified cheque in my back pocket, my camera in one hand, crow bar in the other and I will be getting a picture of me breaking open the crate of my very own '07 MS SE, a first of many dreams to scratch off of my "Bucket List". Can't wait to see those mountains.

I would have to agree with you, the '08 looks like they had an over stock of gloss black parts from different bikes and threw them on an '07 frame with the flat black pipes and that was the end result. I'll be taking the decals/badges off as soon as I get it, adding an AC adapter for ipod and cell phone, along with an engine guard and a shield. I'm curious to know if anyway has requested or know how to get a quart of the red paint to match the frame? If I can get my hands on some I'm thinking of picking up a black engine guard and having it repainted red to match the frame/rims. Any thoughts?
