Pulled my side covers off today as the belt was starting to sqeak again. I had sprayed belt dessing on it a couple weeks ago but now it needs more. When I got to the front pulley I noticed wear marks between all the teeth, I wasn't expecting that, I thought It would be polished but was dull
(didn't realize the belt was so abrasive. Also thought I would find the belt cockeyed but it was strait on. the belt sqeaks as it goes into the first valley of the sprocket and the last one coming out, you can feel it also. Hoping maybe it will go away on its own. I have about 400 mi on the sprocket. Thinking that it will sqeak until the pulley is wore down to the exact shape of the teeth on the belt. Any one have a lot of miles on theirs and have there been noise issuses with yours? I would have tried to take a pic but didn't have good enough lighting in the garage.

I wonder if that is the same problem I am feeling with my V2K, The teeth maybe aren't meshing with the rear pulley just perfect..... Never thought of that. I have a similar issue as you desribed with my stock pulley after putting new tires on the bike.

Woody,
I have'nt had any problems with my pulley(other than a reduction in gas mileage) but only have 300 miles or so on it, but this is something to watch for, I might go on a 600 mile run this weekend and if so I will pay attention and look at it when I get back and let you know.

My milage is about the same to maybe lower but I did ride it a little harder after the pulley change then came a little harder after I put on the pipes. I think your problem is the weight of all that chrome you added
