Guitar- have you thought about powdering your peg mounts? i bet you could paint the bracket a flat black to blend it more into the bike, since your ride has minimal chrome on it. or am I the first who has said anything about it?
i've been watching this thread cuz i'm getting the jardines on my '03 meanie, but i do have alot more shiny on mine than your SE has. |

Would love to find some Jardine forward controls on ebay cheap. Don't look like it's gonna happen. Found some there for the M50 I had for $250.00. I can't/won't pay $500.00+ for any.

I had an 07 meanie with the jardines and just bought an 08 SE and put the jardines on it as well. I am about 6 4 with a 36 inseam and they are excellent!! I wouldnt recommend any others. Yes they are pricy but worth every cent!! I cant ride a stock meanie anymore feels to small in the leg
area. Also witht the jardines you dont have to replace anything!!!! Good luck in your decision!!! |

Yeah I finally did take receipt of them. I really like the way they fold up out of the way when you're just cruising around town but where they really shine is on long trips. They give you a lot of different configurations to put your feet which really helps make the ride more comfortable.

I've scraped the the stock pegs a few times but the Jardines are set a few inches higher. I just put them on a week a go and the weather has been terrible so I haven't been riding much. But I don't think they will scrape like the stock pegs.

Mine haven't scraped yet, even with the VTX shocks installed. I'm being REALLY watchfull of my mini boards tho. I fold them up if I'm going out to the curves...

I would recommend a minimum of 33" inseam. They are out 6"/up 3". I have 35/36" inseam and they stretched me a bit...
