Default shifting

I just went from mobil 1 15-50 synthetic to 10-30 m1 synthetic for the cooler weather as the shifting was pretty stiff. I'm still having to push the shifter down when shifting up and pull it up when shifting down so I can get to the next gear. It's not returning. can anyone help with any suggestions.

I had the a similar problem with my shifter, however I did nothing with the oil so I don't know if it would be the same problem. I just looked into the pivot point and there was a whole bunch of road gunk in it that just had to be cleaned out. I don't know if this helps or not...

It seems unlikely that the choice of oil will cause the shifter to stick.
I would look elsewhere, like CSD mentioned, for another cause.

Doubt it's your oil either but isn't 10-30 a bit thin? even for WI. plus I think it is energy conserving.

I'll check out the pivot points. thank you. I'm riding to work in the morning or at night and the temps are getting in the 40's. but if it is too thin i'd like some mor input if possible. thanks
