Looks great, next mod should be a solar powered headlight.

You only need a load equalizer if you use them in the directionals. Also, load equalizers use a far amount of juice & generate a good deal of heat. You could just use a $10 electronic flasher, no heat & low power consumption. I have the Tail-Turn-Brake light conversion kit ( Run-Turn-Brake Controller) with LED's in all rear lights, including the plate light. I can leave it in "Park" for hours with out getting a dead battery.

Anyone know what (if anything) fits the Mean Streak? My wife was following me this weekend, and with the sun at my back said she could barely see my brake lights...

Same one I have, same mod. Mean streak and 900 custom share the same tail light/brake lens.

Thumbs up

Great advice on the "load equalizers"!! The electronic flasher is a FAR better option.

Tried the direct plug in on my Meanstreak, won't fit. Sending it back to exchange for the pigtail version

OK, just got the LED (48bulb, pigtail, red) mounted on the meanie. Bought it from bikerhiway.com, very fast USPS shipping, extremely happy w/ the transaction.

Comments?
SWEET Mother of Pearl!!! Took about 30 minutes for my retina's to return to normal!
DO NOT look at these puppies w/ the brake on!!!

Click the linkie for some night shots (before and after) from about 8ft away:
Uromastyx63/Mean_LED - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

If they can't see this (night OR day), they don't deserve to be on the road. I also popped in a Silverstar headlight, and added a Fiamm Highway blaster horn this weekend.
I'm a happy camper

This is a 42 LED high intensity 100 degree coverage board. It is about 5 times brighter than the stock bulb.
Where did you get it? I got two from jpcycles and neither was anywhere near as bright as the red bulb stuff I posted. Yours is WAY brighter than that! I WANT one! See me! Don't run over me! They equate!

Got mine from Bikerhiway.com - LED Tail Light/Brake Light Clusters
Model 3205-18. It's 48-LED red bulbs w/ a pigtail.

I Had to improvise with some double sided sticky foam tabs (the kind used to hang posters in college, if my fading memory serves) to have enough sticky area to adhere to the shiny plastic reflector inside the taillight housing, but no other problems.
