Default 900LT solo

Even though I bought the 2007 Vulcan 900LT I knew I'd be riding solo all the time. Wife will not get on bike ever so I know I'll never ride 2up. I was really tempted to get a 2006 Drifter 800 my dealer has but there were several things I preferred on the 900LT. My question is has any 900LT owners here put a solo seat on their bike, removed the backrest but left the saddlebags on?
I know the kawi Backrest and emblem aren't cheap and hate to just take them off and set aside but I do like the looks of a solo seat.

Like saddleman has. I'd appreciate any comments.

IMO, go ahead and take off the backrest, and store the parts in your closet. when you go to sell the bike - someday - you can put everything back on. The next owner will appreciate that bright, shiney chrome.
I say go for it, make that bike an expression of your taste in bikes. You can always put it back together anytime you want.
And post pics, LOL.

Good idea. Same here, I kept all of my OEM parts for future use. Give your wife some time perhaps a year or so...you'll be surprised ... she may ride with you one day.

Santa brought me a solo saddlemen. No pics yet because its not Christmas yet.....I also took off my 2 up Mustang seat and stored all. It would only take about 20 minutes or so to put the bike back into 2 up mode. Best of both worlds DO IT..

You have the same thoughts I am having!!! When I see pictures of me on my bike, it looks like a whole lot of wasted seat space behind me. Then when I stand and look at my bike, I think it looks like there is "too much stuff" on it for just a single rider. I am tempted to remove the sissybar and get a solo seat too!!!

I would also LOVE to see any pictures of anybody with an LT that went solo!!!!

Well will love to see pics after Xmas when you get it. I don't plan on purchasing the solo seat till after Xmas but I'm thinking it'd look cool with the sissy bar off etc. Wife had been against. M/C as long as I've known her. umm (almost 50 yrs ouch!)

And this is just about the only place that statement doesn't mean something entirely different.

Warren if you do a search for 900 solo seat you'll get a few pics of people who changed to that seat.
