96 1500 Vulcan classic VS 99 1100 V-star Advice needed????

I'm getting back into bike after being out for 10 years and am looking at a couple of bikes for sale close to me the first one is a 99 V-star 1100 with 4000 miles and the other is a 96 1500 vulcan classic with 22000miles I'm trying to find info comparing the 2 bikes The Vulcan is only a 4 speed but I understand the tourque is plentiful The V-star is air cooled and I think a lighter bike . If anyone has riden both I'd apreciate any input both bikes are priced close to the same, I am wondering about the Vulcans reliability etc... I plan on riding back and forth to work and for short 2 or 3 day trips with the wife on the back. Thanks for any info

i've riden both bikes and they are both great bikes,although i prefer kawi for reliabilty
the yammy is a good bike-i'd prolly get the v because of the low miles and newer model if the price is the same,but ride them both and see what feels better for you.you won't be displeased with either machine
