Anyone knows of a solo seat for the VN900 Custom. Could you please post suppliers and photos if possible. Thanks for all the threads on this website, all mods done on my bike couldn't have been simpler. This forum is one of the best and the help by all members is highly recommendable. Keep it up and safe riding.

I'm not sure how much smaller a solo seat is but when I take the seat off my custom my rear fender has 5 circle dents from rear portion of the seats rubber bumpers. You may want to check yours out as i've never rode 2 up or had any pressure back there. Would be very unattractive if the solo seat did not cover that up.

Hopefully you can polish out the rubber bumper marks on the rear fender. If you've had throw over bags they're might be some scuffing from those too.
With the solo you'd want to loose that yoke if your bags aren't hard mounted, and probably remove the sissybar if you had one. Seems like a few have bought the Saddlemen solo for the 900 Classic recently. They look nice, but some have complained of the stitching or the covering not being lined up on the seat. The Saddlemen solo's for the 900 Classic are $199 plain or $219 studded at MeanCycles.com. Can't find a rear fender bib, only tank bibs.

I just got one. Mine was one that the cover didnt seem centered, so the stitching is off, not symetrical, from one side to the other. but i dont think its that big of a deal.
I have heard that it doesnt fit the Custom, but I have seen a pic of one on a Custom. Im at work right now so I cant post up the pic of the one on the Custom, or pics of mine. but heres a link to the thread I have pics of mine on. http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...-tank-bib.html As far as the little dents that people have mentioned, you can only see two of them with the seat on, and mine at least are very hard to see, not very noticable. As far as a fender bib goes, they dont make one for the 900, probably because there really isnt very much room for one. the tail of the seat kinda takes care of that. but if you wanted, im sure you could use the fender bib made for the V2K, just have to drill some holes. I may be making or altering a fender rack for mine. I have a couple over-the-weekend trips this summer and am going to need someplace to put stuff.

If you look thru this thread, theres a pic of a 900 Custom with the saddlemen solo seat on it.

Slpr 61, I think that the solo seat on the thread you quoted is the saddleman solo seat. I think it would look awesome on my modified 2007 VN900 Classic. I had changed my rear fender and seat to that of the Custom model amongst a lot of other mods. I am posting a thread below of some photos that I took of my bike.

Nice looking bike Kawa9.
Interesting swap of the rear fender. the first thread link i posted, I *know* its a Saddlemen solo seat, it's mine the second thread link i posted, I am pretty positive its a Saddlemen solo, because they are the only ones that make one. Im sure you can get a custom one made by someone. the one Cobra did is pretty awesome. they mod'd the rear fender so it would take a more conventional solo seat. something I may do in the future, Saddlemen even makes custom seats.

The Metzeler is the 880 200/70-15 . It is wider than the original dunlop and higher in profile. As a matter of fact the speedo is now reading correct. There is no need to change the rear or engine pulley as quite a few have done on this forum in order that the speedo will read correctly. The gearing ratio has been corrected simply by changing to a higher profile tire and it rides really well!
