Daytona Today & New Bling for VulcanVixen (pics)

I had been traveling for a couple of days and knew the honey-do list was growing in my absence. Only having Saturday free meant low probability for any of the fun stuff. Or so I thought! I did work off some of the honey-do list and then was surprised by my wife suggesting we should squeeze in some motorcycle time too. It's really nice when my wife twists my arm into motorcycle time!

We ended up riding the back roads kind of toward Daytona, not really with a plan to do anything specific. The beautiful weather kept urging us on and we ended up driving all through Daytona and right in the middle of all the bike week activities. There were thousands of motorcycles rumbling around. I've never seen that many bikes in one place! Some of the higher concentrations really slowed traffic. I felt sorry for the people in cars trapped in all the motorcycle traffic. The only way to enjoy that scene was riding.

Since we were in the area we decided to stop by this nice place.





. . . and wouldn't you just know it, some of the place rubbed off VulcanVixen's bike.





Corbin is running a 10% discount on everything in the store during bike week. While I have a Mustang seat on my Nomad I've got to say that Corbin makes a very nice product. VV really likes the seat! I think of it as a continuing investment in riding for me. The more comfortable the ride, the more riding we will do.

Ya just gotta, meet up with many of us at Smileys Tap just east of Corbins show room tween 2 and three today. They are having a pig roast and there should be 8 or more of us (BTK FORUM) riders there. This AM I'm headin out on a five hour ride.

VV and I had plans to drop in on you at Smiley's today, and I really wish I could! My job says I have to be elsewhere today. Something came up that I have to address. Anyone that thinks Murphy isn't alive and well is kidding themselves.
