Default Vulcan 900 Custom

I am considering buying an 2008 kawasaki vulcan 900 custom. Does anyone have anything negative to say about them, and also what pipes would make that baby scream im talkin about window shattering. This will also be an everyday rider. Thanks a lot.

Almost any aftermarket pipes are much much louder than stock. Personally I'd think twice about shattering windows on an everyday rider, but there's already a very long thread about that subject.
Anyway- the stock seat sucks, and it could use a 6th gear for the highway. Kaw makes a nice gel seat and other aftermarket seat makers have nice one's too. Scootworks makes a slightly larger front pulley that I keep hearing about here. Will gear it up a tad and put the motor in a better rmp range at highway speeds. The v-twin does like to stay in the higher revs for best torque.
Ridden mine about 100 miles now, and I just love it.

Definetly get this bike, they are very reasonably priced and that allows you to upgrade them condsiderably. You should look into a new seat, pipes, and an air filter. Everything else is for looks. I have the Cobra Dragsters and they are plenty loud. Make sure you get the FI2000R for the pipes if you go with Cobra.

I got my '07 for 7000 (talked them down) then added another 2000 in upgrades. Just made it easier when I was getting the loan to get it all at once.

That's only an eyesore upclose, but you're right I hated it at first. But then again, I'm not really digging the whole plastic fender thing anyways. I'm saving up for a custom paint job and I'm wondering if I get another fender if it will have those indents. The stock seat didn't make them. Just a flaw with the original fender? Besides, if you have plenty of chrome everyone will be distracted from that oversight.
