"LOL" I just replaced the rear and I am now getting ready to order a new front and rear. My wife and I are going to head up to Canada in July for a 4000+ mile trip and I want new tires mounted just before I leave. I think that I am going to try the new (Avon Cobra's). I haven't heard much about them yet but they seem like they might be worth a try.

Yeah...a 12 month contest can only be held by location...like...SoCal 12-month contest...because SoCal would stomp NY for obvious reasons...

I don't know about that, I'm in VA and have ridden year round the last two winters. Sure there is a week here or there when conditions keep me from riding. But it hasn't been more than a week between rides. Gerbing can be your friend. Anyway my comments aren't meant to detract from the contest.

its not the cold that bothers me, its the ice, sand and salt on the roads. i rode one year until mid december, riding to work in temps around the teens. the last day i did it, i slid three times on ice just in the 20 minutes it took me to get to work. now i don't ride much past the middle of November cause we get ice way to early. a lot of people that live near the city ride whenever there is a warm day, but out here where it's a lot more rural, they use a lot more sand. i won't even bother hitting the roads until usually late April. but VA is a lot different than MA.

At this point, that's all I'm using it for. This weather has been so sad that I haven't even bothered. At least not yet.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been on the 11p-8a shift for almost 5 weeks, working 7 per. It's really cut into my weekend recreational riding, especially the charity rides. I'm at ~3200 for the race and 6200 on the year.

I ride mine everywhere I go year around. Unfortunately that's work and back.

I'm at like...1200 for the race. LoL. Gotta figure out a way to carry golf clubs on the bike. Then it can be an extra 150 a week...blah...
