2008 Odometer Race

OK, guys and gals it's time to start riding again and time for the second odometer race.

the prize for the winner is going to be announced in a few days, after all the contributers get their money in.

Post your photo of your odometer to this thread on April 1 for the start of the race. The end of the race will be October 31.

This is a little longer than last year, supposedly the people in CA. need longer to get some miles in for some reason.

only one winner for all classes of bikes.

you can enter the mileage on all the bikes you ride but please put your own mileage on it.

I am going to post a word in each thread (the same word) for you to write on a piece of paper to have in the picture you post. I'll post the word before April 1.

ok, the word to put on a piece of paper for the start of the race is rotor.

I've got 14,xxx miles on my two year old bike. I was talking to them about getting the ZX14 and they told me that I had excessive miles on the bike. I told them I used to do more than that in one year. should have seen the look I got.

another reason why i chose to not update.
it's been ridden hard and still survives. no reason to punch it's clock yet

I'm averaging 1000 miles/month. Last time I was at the dealership they couldn't believe it. There is only 1 guy here at work that rides in more often than I do, and he is one of those BMW wackos (I say that with the utmost respect, really).

I'm sure I won't be in the running compared to some of y'all, but I'll play along.

I know a few photochoppers that are pretty good too, maybe they can tell the difference. damn, trying to figure out how to work in the old memorex commercial, just can't seem to do it though.

20K miles in 10 months? 24K in one year? Dang, rounding errors on some of your mileage would beat me. I think we'd need to make this from December 1 to February 1 for me to even make the bottom of the list. And that's only if Ryguy in ND didn't beat me!

you're in Orlando and aren't getting 20K+ a year?

we were pushing 25K a year when we lived there. I was working full time and going to school 25hours a week.

might as well join in, the more the merrier.

I would like to get in on this. I'm sure I won't be able to compete with some of you but it sounds like "FUN". I only have one bike (2007 Nomad). Here is my odometer photo. Now, if the weather will break!

looks like there has been enough other people kick in on the prize money that we are turning it into a gift certificate at Beartooth Kawasaki.

once all the money is in I will change the first post to reflect how much the certificate will be.
