Default Went for a nice ride today

It was beautiful here today, so I took off work early and went for a two-hour ride. It's supposed to be even warmer tomorrow, so I'll ride to work. And Saturday it's supposed to be near 60, so hubby and I can go for a nice ride together. He just got this seat back (he sent it off to be rebuilt, so he didn't have a seat for about a month). He's anxious to get out on his bike, too.

I'm very happy!

I took a picture. It's not very good of my bike (the sun was really low and the bike looks dark), but it shows how pretty the day was and what a nice area I have to ride in.

Started out cold this morning, like 26 but the sun came out and by lunchtime it was nearly balmy. To bad work is piling up and I had to work till 5:00 cause with all that sun & blue skies, I'd sure like to be on my bike too.

Glad you got a chance today with more opportunities tomorrow.

OK, I'm officially jealous. We're in the midst of another Nor'easter here in NH. We'll probably end up with 8-12" from this storm to bring the snow cover to about two feet. I won't be riding for awhile, so I'm researching and planning the upgrades for the bike to keep from going too crazy. I'm starting to think about living in a warmer climate-------

You are starting to p** me off...60 degrees, REALLY!!

Actually, Saturday here in East TN is supposed to hit 55. Club has a ride and I'm gonna try to get there and go. It's 34 outside now, but it is night so...what the heck, I've got heat!!

It's been nice up here as well. I'll be out riding Sat. for sure. It's been one strange winter in Montana this year, No Snow to speak of. Unfortunely This type weather pattern tends to lead to forest fires in the summer.

was reading an article today that says our mountain snow pack is at 25% of normal. We gonna either need alot of snow in the next 45 - 60 days or have on heck of a rainy spring/summer to keep us from having a water shortage this summer. All our snow seems to be going out east.

Kind of erie to not have the snow pack in the mtn's like normal. Hopefully the animals won't play to hard in the forest this summer and cause a spontaneous combustion.

That's great! I don't blame you for leaving work early to enjoy the nice weather. My wife and I have an appointment tomorrow at 1:30 which will probably last about an hour and I am already planning on going home afterward and getting the "Attitude Adjuster" out for a ride. It's suppose to be 51 degrees here so the highway is calling.

Thanks for sharing Julie!

Dry is right. I remember seeing this before and those mtn roads get so dusty that every vehicle that drives by the camp site leaves a cloud in the air long after they have passed. We need moisture in them thar hills!

Living where we do, I have gotten used to campfire bans every summer. It seems to have become a part of life. Of course it's really hot here in the summer, so I can forsake the campfire for the great riding weather.

Still envious of Julie though, wish I could be riding right about now. Brrrrr.

We've had drought conditions here for the past six years. But, even though we've had lots of warm (i.e., riding) weather down in the foothills and on the plains this winter, the mountains have had a LOT of snow. I read an article in the paper last week that said the snowpack is as high as 125% of normal in some areas of Colorado (primarily the southern part of the state). Up here in the north it's normal. This is great news for us. I love it when it snows a lot in the mountains and not much down here.

Last March we had a 36" snowfall, so just because it's nice now doesn't mean it will last. February and March are typically the months when we get the most snowfall here. So we'll see... I'm enjoying the warm weather while I can. No one knows what tomorrow will bring.
