Okay, I know it is requested that new members post pictures of their ride. Well I've been snooping around for some time now and only posting a comment here or there but I realized I never posted pictures of my MS.
So... here you go! I ride a 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic LT. I've replaced the saddle with a Corbin, Cobra highway bars, Cobra lightbar, Scootworks front pulley, Baron's BAK, Cobra Speedster Slashdown exhaust, PCIII, Scorpio alarm and Stebel air horn. ![]() ![]() Next, I want to replace the grips with ISO grips get rid of the boxy standard side mirrors with something a bit more curve to it. I also thought of debadging but I haven't made up my mind if that's really what I want to do. Anyway, thanks for letting me fulfill my picture posting obligation. ![]() |

I like the mods that you have done. They go great with the bike.

Beautiful bike! The lightbar makes the front look great.
Hey Mr_ Martini, I am thinking about buying a Stebel air horn for my 06' 900 Classic LT. How much louder is it over the stock? Since I put my Cobra highway bars on, my stock horn sounds like a cartoon character and I want a louder horn when needed on buttwipes in cages. BTW, you will love and notice the difference in your hands with the ISO grips. |

Thanks guys!
When I put my stock horn on the Cobra light bar, I had the same problem many have had. It doesn't vibrate right and barely makes a sound. I couldn't hear it at all on the freeway. I'd loosen up the rubber ring holding it on but after a while (normally at the worst time) it lose its volume again. I used slicktech's installation instructions for the Stebel horn and although I had to purchase and use longer wires, the installation was simple and I think looks great: ![]() Is it louder? YOU BET! They definitely hear me now... all 139 dB. The first time I got to use it was when a lady in a pickup truck decided she needed to take the exit she was passing and cut across multiple lanes right at me. I hit that horn and she swerved back over. While passing her, I looked over and she had her eyes bugging out and her mouth was dropped open and she was grasping her chest. I couldn't be mad that she cut me off because I was laughing so hard. Hope she didn't have a heart attack. |

1. Yes, you use your stock indicators. It has you remove the blinkers from the metal bar, which is replaced by a longer one allowing the blinkers to stick out further and make room for the new lights. It's one of the first upgrades I did to my ride (any ride, really) and even I found it to be quite easy. I just followed their instructions step-by-step. I was a little hesitant at first with the wire they wanted me to "tap" into. It looked like a wire for a blinker. I did it anyways and it worked perfectly. At least just the way I want them to. There's a toggle switch so I can turn the light bar off if I like. It doesn't go to high beam when I flip my main lamp to high beam, which is the way I like it. 2. I purchased my Stebel Air Horn from Amazon.com for $41.95. Just do an online search for "Stebel Air Horn" and you'll find lots of places carrying them. I ordered the chrome version. There is also a black one if you'd like to blend it into the bike somewhere. |
